| Black Thunder is an incredible glossy jet black pure Bolivian Huacaya herd sire with never-ending show presence and a strong, sturdy stature. His frame is surrounded by rich, black, crimpy fiber, with coverage that will absolutely amaze you. The only black herd sire from our 1997 import, he is one of a kind. Black Thunder has already proven himself in producing a vast array of superior black cria. By 2002, he has produced 97% colored offspring, with a huge majority of black (and even gray!) His fiber statistics show a micron count of 22.7 with a standard deviation of 4.3 microns, a coefficient of variation of 18.9% and only 4.3% over 30 microns. |

| We are thrilled to announce the addition of one of our most exciting black Huacaya studs yet. This male has it all: black color, gray in his background, and unrelated genetics, not to mention coverage from head to toe, crimp to his roots and density that will stop you in your tracks. Highway Man's dam, Piedrabuena came into the United States in the final South American import and was screened with the highest ever ARI standards. To be a gray Huacaya, and make it to the United States in 1998, you had to be something spectacular. Piedrabuena has proven to be no less. Since importation, she has been bred three times, and all three offspring have been dark stud quality males. Her first breeding, done in South America, resulted in Highway Man once she came to our farm, and we could not be happier. This is a new blood line on our farm, and Highway Man will be here breeding for many years to come. Yield to no other male, the light is green, and Highway Man is straight ahead. |

Brilliance of Peru

| Are you looking for a herd sire with famous genetics, perfect conformation and excellent fiber? Brilliance represents the next generation in top herd sires in the United States today. Begin with his grand sire Peruvian Guellermo, who was imported from South America for his excellence in colored fiber quality. Guellermo began his North American breeding career in the United States at Alpacas of America and eventually moved up to Canada full time. He was owned by Alpacas of Canada for a while and is now co-owned by Alpacas of Canada and Heart’s Desire Farm. He now spends time both in Canada and in the United States. We were able to sell Guellermo since we had a son, Peruvian Ion, to carry on his blood lines on our farm. In 2005, we were able to sell Ion in Las Vegas to Clearview Farm Alpacas and Alpacanaca Farm since we had Ion’s son, Brilliance to take his place. Ion produced a vast number of high selling, show winning offspring during his career at Alpacas of America, and we are expecting the same from Brilliance. Coming from a full Accoyo dam and Peruvian Ion, Brilliance has all of the characteristics we look for in a high end light colored herd sire: fine, dense, uniform fiber with excellent coverage and fleece character. His fiber statistics came back with the following: AFD 15.8, SD 4.0, CV 25.2% and only 1.2% over 30 microns. | Redeemer is another absolutely gorgeous white Huacaya from the Alpacas of America herd. His fiber is out of this world with crimp in his bonnet all the way down to his toes, and talk about coverage! You will not find another male with his quality anywhere else but at AOA. His fiber statistics are as follows: average fiber diameter of 17.2 microns, standard deviation of 4.1 microns, coefficient of variation of 23.8% and just 1.2% over 30 microns. Redeemer is already proving he can pass on his great fiber to his offspring; they, too exhibit his incredible density, crimp and fineness. Though he is light in color, he has proven to throw a variety of colored crias from fawn all the way to dark brown.
